There will be seen a general likeness in the com- position of the pattern out of squarish blocks but it will be noticed that the bell reverses the unit at each successive or apposite repetition. The pattern itself on the bell consists of curves like those of the vase motive, but the bell pat- tern is originally that of a "curling dragon" such as will be found in (11).
